Abstract

The article investigates the origin of the phrase, son of man, in the Book of Daniel, Chapter 7, Verse 13. The problems posed by the messianic interpretation of the phrase for understanding the relationship between the Book of Daniel and the New Testament are examined. The article also analyzes the composition of Daniel 7. The interpretation of the phrase in the Book of Daniel as an individual and messianic figure is explained.
