These minutes of the Board of Trustees meeting on May 26, 1890, detail the decision to recommend abandoning the effort to establish Cedarville College in the absence of meaningful financial support. Though the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church did not accept the recommendation, the process was now handicapped by a lack of sufficient funds to continue.
