This is a transcript of the journal that Martha McMillan kept while on a trip to California. Rankin MacMillan, in his notes on the 1904 journal, stated that while James and Martha were in California from December 18, 1903, until July 21, 1904, cousin Mary Murdock and a farm worker, Charles Baskin, maintained the farm journal.
