Aims & Scope
The aim of Musical Offerings
is to provide an opportunity and incentive for undergraduate students to excel in musicological research and writing. Furthermore, the journal provides a means for undergraduates to learn the process of preparing a paper for publication, and to have the opportunity for a published work before they graduate.
The scope of Musical Offerings
is any document-based or fieldwork-based research in the areas of musicology and ethnomusicology. There are no limits on historical era or geographic region, as long as the paper represents rigorous musicological research. The topic of music must be present in the paper; however, it may have a non-musical central or secondary focus.
