Abstract

Cedarville University’s school of pharmacy will host a pharmacy-based immunization delivery training program for pharmacists in the local area who want to become immunization certified. The training will be held on November 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Health Science Center.

The training will equip pharmacists with the skills necessary to become primary sources for vaccine advocacy, education, and administration.

The event will begin by educating the pharmacists about public health concerns, diseases and vaccinations. Pharmacists will be shown “how-to” videos on the vaccination process and will spend the last two hours administering vaccinations with saline.
