Abstract:
Nearly four million infants are born annually in the United States. Events during birth Cll1 have life-long implications. Early cord clamping is associated with a decreased risk of jaundice, whereas delayed cord clamping is associated with a decreased risk of anemia. Parents deserve knowledge and autonomy concerning care of their infants.
