Mr. James M. Grier presently serves as the Dean of the Seminary at the Grand Rapids Baptist College and Seminary. Before this appointment. he taught at Cedarville College for thirteen years (1969-1982) where he was an Associate Professor of Philosophy.
He was a pastor for ten years, serving two churches in Michigan. During his tenure at Cedarville College, he was also engaged in interim pastoral ministry, Bible conference teaching, and supply preaching.
Mr. Grier has a strong and wide educational background. He received the Th.B. from Baptist Bible Seminary, the M.Div. from Grace Theological Seminary, and the Th.M. from Westminster Theological Seminary. He is now a Th.D. candidate at Grace Theological Seminary.
He has given lectureships at several schools, including Western Baptist College, Toronto Baptist Seminary, Grace College, Grace Theological Seminary, Capital Bible Seminary, and Grand Rapids Baptist College and Seminary.
His wife, Shirley, and he are the parents of one son, Kevin, who graduated from Cedarville College.
