Presently on the staff of the Church Ministries Division of The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Dr. Renald E. Showers has served in the pastorate; as a member of the faculties of Lancaster Bible College, Moody Bible Institute, and Philadelphia College of Bible; and as a visiting lecturer at Word of Life Bible Institute. He is a popular speaker for college groups, church congregations, and Bible conferences coast to coast. In 1983 he focused a three-week European speaking tour on Christian Servicemen's Centers in Great Britain and West Germany.

He has published numerous articles and several books: Liberty and Love in Life with Christ, What on Earth is God Doing?, Behold the Bridegroom Comes!, Lawfully Wedded, The Most High God, and The New Nature. He also has produced teaching video tapes.

A graduate of Philadelphia College of Bible, Dr. Showers holds a B.A. in history from Wheaton College, a master's in church history from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a doctorate in theology from Grace Theological Seminary.

He was the recipient of the General Motors Citizenship Award, a National Scholarship, and the Charles Nash Church History Award. Philadelphia College of the Bible named him "Faculty Member of the Year" in 1982.

A native of DuBois, Pennsylvania, Dr. Showers and his wife Eleanor are the parents of two daughters.
