Dr. Lucy Mabery has taught Bible classes for 35 years and has spoken at women's seminars and retreats around the country. She has been a lay counselor for 20 years, ministering through her church and home to singles, couples, and families. Dr. Mabery is an assistant professor at Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas, teaching since fall, 1990. She teaches graduate-level courses in women's ministries, expository teaching, premarital counseling, group counseling, marriage and family counseling, and is a staff therapist at Garland Christian Counseling Center.

Dr. Mabery earned her Ph.D. in marriage and family counseling from Texas Women's University in 1993. She also holds a Master of Theology in Bible exposition and a Master of Arts in biblical studies, both from Dallas Theological Seminary.
