Steven Garber is the scholar-in-residence for the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, an association of more than 90 institutions throughout the United States and Canada. The author of The Fabric of Faithfulness: Weaving Together Belief and Behavior During the University Years, which was a 1998 Christianity Today Award winner, Garber speaks widely to faculty and students on questions surrounding the relation of learning to life.
Currently an adjunct faculty member at Trinity International University, Garber is also a resident faculty member at the Mustard Seed Foundation Summer Institute. In addition, he has ministered through InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, the Coalition for Christian Outreach, the Institute for Contemporary Christianity, and the C.S. Lewis Institute Summer Program.
Garber earned his B.A. from Geneva College, his M.A. from Goddard College, and his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University. A native of the great valleys of Colorado and California, he married Meg Elliott in 1976 and has five children: Eden, Elliott, David, Jessica, and Jonathan.
