Comments

Dr. Bruce Ware currently serves The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) as professor of Christian theology, senior associate dean of the School of Theology, and associate dean of the Theology and Tradition Division. A graduate of Whitworth College, Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, the University of Washington, and Fuller Theological Seminary, Dr. Ware is well-known for his work on the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, of which he has been president since 1999.

Dr. Ware's articles on human personhood, submission within the Trinity, and open theism have helped shed light on controversial issues facing the church. His books - God's Lesser Glory: The Diminished God of Open Theism, Still Sovereign: Contemporary Perspectives on Election, Foreknowledge, and Grace, and The Grace of God, The Bondage of the Will - have assisted many in their personal theological pursuit.

Through the years, Dr. Ware has served in a variety of roles in his local church, from evangelism coordinator to singles' ministry director to speaker, teacher, and administrator. He is currently the worship leader for Clifton Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, where he attends with his wife, Jo Diane, and two daughters, Bethany and Rachel.
