The sorrows of the heart have a place in the great ailments that afflict humanity. This book provides a safe place for women to go to without being judged for being "weak" from feeling the hurt that comes from personal desires which have not been, and may never be, fulfilled. The poems contained in this book were produced by personal experiences and are thus able to reach the depths of disappointment made possible by unrequited attraction. Their ultimate goal, however, is to lead out of the depths to the hope that joy in life, God, friends, celebrations, and accomplishments is still possible even if one particular desire to be with one particular man does not work out. Life is bigger than that.
