Context

This scroll was written on lambskin parchment in the late 1500s in southern Germany. It was moved to Jerusalem sometime after that date. It came to America in 1999.

This sheet is from a Torah scroll donated to Baptist World Outreach Ministries. The Torah was framed in 51 portions [sheets] from Genesis to Deuteronomy. The donor requested that the individual sheets be given to Christian colleges to be put on public display.
