Charles Clevenger Collection

 

Dr. Charles Clevenger served on the faculty of Cedarville University for 35 years and is now a Senior Professor Emeritus of Piano and Humanities. He also served for a time as the chair of the Department of Music and Worship. Dr. Clevenger holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. A veteran teacher of music in both collegiate and workshop settings and a concert pianist, he is also a watercolor clinician and private teacher, combining a career in music and art. As a painter, he is a plein-air watercolorist and his works hang in numerous private, public, corporate, and collegiate collections in America and abroad, as well as on the campus of Cedarville University. He has also taught elective art courses in the University's Department of Art, Design, and Theatre. Dr. Clevenger joined the Cedarville University faculty in 1982 and retired in 2018.
