Of the five founders of Cedarville College, these two were from Cedarville, Ohio. James F. Morton was the pastor of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Cedarville from 1863 until his death in 1903. Hugh H. McMillan was a farmer and served as the treasurer for the Board of Trustees, staying actively involved in the financial arrangements for the College until his death in 1911.
