God has created spiders and humans very uniquely and both with the intention of work. Work is a gift from God but so is rest. For a spider they must work all the time and do not have the time to rest in God and reflect on his goodness. Ezekiel 20:19-20 commands the Jewish people to take a day, the Sabbath, to not work but contemplate the almighty God and worship him. Unlike the spiders humans have been given salvation from their sins and true relationship with God. He cares for his people more than the beautiful spiders that make their silk and must work even on Sunday.
