Edwin Yamauchi, emeritus professor of history at Miami University, is a specialist in Mediterranean Studies, including archaeology, linguistics and biblical history. He has been a prolific author and Christian statesman, having served as president of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Near East Archaeological Society, among others. His seventeen books include Persia and the Bible, Peoples of the Old Testament World and Africa and the Bible. A co-founder and current elder of the Oxford Bible Fellowship, Dr. Yamauchi has been deeply involved in church life, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Campus Crusade for Christ, and missions. He and his wife, Kimi, live in Oxford, OH.
Leland Ryken is the Clyde S. Kilby Professor of English at Wheaton College and has written more than thirty books as well as over a hundred articles and essays. He received the Gutenberg Award in 2003 for his contributions to education, writing, and the understanding of the Bible. Ryken has also served as Literary Chairman for the English Standard Version of the Bible.
