Psalm 84:3 says "Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God." Blessed are those who dwell in the house of the Lord. The psalmist writes that he would rather be a lowly gatekeeper of the house of God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. How lovely is the Lord Almighty's dwelling place. The Gospel is a welcome source of comfort for the afflicted, and my hope is for everyone to understand the beauty of dwelling in God's courts. We are sinners and do not deserve a place at his altars. Through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ we are able to have communion with God, and I welcome his return. Come, Lord Jesus.
