Archie is a stylish dog with a pet pooch of his own. When he makes a snazzy coat for his pet, all of his neighbors want one, too! Soon, he is making clothes for all the other dogs and their pets—even for a particularly posh corgi in a crown. Gordon’s lively sketches carry the tale, with no text besides sound descriptions. The idea of a dog owning a pet dog may raise questions. Children may have difficulty understanding the story on their own, but parents and teachers can invite children to participate by asking them to describe the events pictured. Optional. Emily Hartman, Centennial Library Intern.
