Review

When Dylan hears a violinist playing at the train station, he is struck by the beautiful, sad sounding music. He strains desperately to hear the music as his mother hurries him along, and for the rest of the day he can think of nothing else. It is only later they learn in the news that they realize they had heard Joshua Bell, a famous musician. This true story aims to inspire imagination and appreciation for music not only in children, but also in adults. The striking illustrations celebrate the childlike wonder that children like Dylan so often radiate. Recommended. Taylor Wilcox, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
