Musical Offerings, published by the Department of Music and Worship at Cedarville University, is an online, undergraduate musicology journal whose mission is to publish articles on topics in any area of musicology, ethnomusicology, music history, or church music history.

On the cover: Rouget de L’Isle chantant la Marseillaise, painted by Isidore Pils in 1849. In the painting, Claude-Joseph Rouget de Lisle, the composer of the French national anthem “La Marseillaise,” sings his composition. Pils’s painting eventually became a staple of the republican imagery of the Revolution. This painting is in the public domain.
