This collection contains unedited digital copies of all undergraduate catalogs, beginning with the first catalog from 1895. Some of the catalogs include content that reflects attitudes current at the time of publication but that are offensive today. Such content is not condoned and is rejected by Cedarville University and does not represent our commitment to kingdom diversity and to being a welcoming community that affirms “that all people…are created in the image of God” (Genesis 1:27). To remove or redact offensive content from our historical record would be contrary to archival practice and standards. Such content will therefore be retained as historical documents that remind us to be vigilant in our obligation to treat all people with respect and dignity.
