This front-page article in the May 28, 1892, Cedarville Herald details the results of a meeting of the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church convening in Cedarville. Included in the report is a detailed summary of the May 24 meeting of the Cedarville College Board of Trustees highlighting the receipt of the bequest of $25,000 from the estate of William Gibson. This good news allowed the Board to announce their decision to proceed with plans to launch Cedarville College.
