Brief Description
[One original leaf - printed in London]. The text on these two pages is from Judges 6 through the first few verses of Judges 8.
Context
Revised by Coverdale from Matthew's Bible, the project was instigated by Thomas Cromwell, hence the Bible is sometimes called the "Cromwell's Bible". It is usually termed the "Great Bible" due to Cromwell's decree that it should be a "Bible of the largest and greatest volume." The text is printed in double columns, paragraph form, with 62 lines to a full column.
