Color photographic reproduction of the original. One of about 30 portions of the book of Deuteronomy discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls. This scroll [4Q41] contains Deuteronomy 5:1-31, including the entire Ten Commandments in the form that has been handed down to this day.
Provenance
The Dead Sea Scrolls were found in eleven caves near Khirbet Qumran, on the northwestern shores of the Dead Sea, between 1947 and 1956.
