Abstract
The paper focuses on an investigation of Trinitarian doctrine as seen in the Reformers’ exegetical comments in John 5 and in Matthew 3 and 28. The Reformers affirmed the historic positions of the church on the doctrine of Trinity and saw their exegetical work as an opportunity to explain Trinitarian orthodoxy in light of biblical wording.
