Contributor's Note

It's a sestina about a kraken attacking and sinking a pirate ship. I just wanted to write a cool pirate ship story. A sestina is a poem consisting of six stanzas with six lines and a final triplet. The last word of each line in the first stanza is repeated in a specific different order for the next five stanzas. The final triplet contains two end-words per line, one in the middle and one at the end, so that all six end-words are included in the final stanza. This sestina is unrhymed and written in iambic pentameter.
