Contributor's Note
It is difficult to reconcile the fact that a God is out there with the feeling of being entirely cut off when experiencing depression. Suddenly all things you thought you knew about spiritual matters are called into question when the reality you perceive does not seem to line up with the reality you have been taught is true, and you are caught between belief and unbelief. This prose piece explores the experience of questioning your faith and whether you ever truly knew God to begin with in the midst and aftermath of depression.
