Contributor's Note
Peppermint Mocha relays a true event which happened on my way home from a trip to Florida over Thanksgiving break. This scene explores themes and emotions surrounding disappointment and gratitude. The peppermint mocha incident mirrors the way I was feeling about going home and also the recent impact of hurricanes to the beaches. The realization of my blessing at the end reflects the Biblical integration of recognizing God's good gifts even when we're not expecting them to be present, or not wanting to acknowledge their goodness.
