Contributor's Note

This piece was inspired by a short-term missions trip I took to Senegal, during which I encountered many incredible Senegalese missionaries who are taking the gospel to remote regions of the country. I also experienced Senegalese culture for the first time, and I was struck by the differences between American culture and Senegalese culture, but more importantly, by the similarities and the experiences that seem to be universal across cultures. Ultimately, I hope my piece conveys how God is mightily at work all across the world, and there is so much to be learned by interacting with people from cultures that are different from your own.
