Dixon Ministry Center Image Gallery
Completed in 1996, the Dixon Ministry Center houses the James T. Jeremiah Chapel, the Bolthouse Center for Music, and the Reese Center for Christian Ministries. James T. Jeremiah was born in New York and graduated from Baptist Bible Seminary in Johnson City, New York. He served in pastorates in Panama, New York; Toledo, Ohio; and at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. In 1953, he left the pastorate to assume the Presidency of Cedarville College, a role he filled until his retirement in 1978, when he then became the Chancellor of the college. He served in that role until his death in 2000.
The Bolthouse Center for Music was named for William Bolthouse. Bolthouse has served on Cedarville’s board of trustees as a trustee emeritus since 1996. The Reese Center for Christian Ministries was named in honor of Robert P. “Bob” and Polly Reese. Robert Reese served faithfully in First Baptist Church of Elkart and on the boards of evangelical institutes such as Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, Los Angelis Baptist College, Stewardship Services, and ChristWay Ministries. (Loach) The building was named in honor of President Paul Dixon for his leadership of the university since 1978 and for his emphasis on daily chapel for the entire college family all in the same building.
