The following is from a document included in folder 301E:
The most interesting thing about "old" Faith, which is the back (east) half of the current dorm , is that it was constructed from World War II barracks hauled over from Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton in 1957. The residents of Cedarville were quite dismayed to see these old buildings being towed down Main St. and placed on foundations on the property right next to their new public school addition. However, once the buildings were connected, completely remodeled, and brick put on the outside, the fears of the town residents were eased. "Old" Faith was dedicated in November 1958. I do have newspaper clippings both about the arrival of the barracks and the remodeling of the dorm into Faith Hall. "New" Faith, which is the front (west) half of the current dorm on Main St. was added in 1967, closing in the current courtyard. Within the last couple of years, Old Faith has been completely remodeled and recently a much larger lounge, expanded laundry facilities, and a larger RD apartment were added to the front portion of Faith Hall.
