About This Journal
Education Insights is an annual, scholarly, peer-reviewed journal published by the School of Education and Social Work at Cedarville University. The journal includes original research, contemporary book reviews, and Christian thought on theories, interdisciplinary studies, pedagogy, and theology, aiming to guide scholars in the field of education.
The journal originated as a way to guide pre-service teacher candidates and practitioners from a Biblical worldview. The market is saturated with scholarly journals, yet most exclude the mention of Christ being Sovereign, Lord, and Savior, which is significant in the field of education. Other journals affirm Christ and his deity, but lack the pedagogical and theological depth Education Insights attempts to achieve.
The Education Insights title is meaningful. Through the content that we provide, we hope to elevate achievement and preparation in current and future developments in education strengthening the capacity of K-12 and post-secondary schools globally.
Special thanks to Kathy Carnegis, Digital Services Director; Tricia Clark, Digital Services Specialist; Dr. Marcus Leeds, Theology Consultant; and Cedarville University's Centennial Library staff for additional assistance with publishing the journal in the CedarCommons repository.
