Abstract
The filter capacitor equivalent series inductance (ESL) depends on the foil length, the anode/cathode tab lengths, and the symmetry of the structure. The author discusses the effect of the filter capacitorESL on DC-DC power converter stability, derives the open-loop transfer function in closed form, andcompares and verifies previous efforts to model the ESL with experimental data
