Description
This is the family Bible of Morris Lee and Eva May Dungan Sternberger of Jackson County, Ohio. Morris Sternberger died in 1912, and in 1917, during World War I, his surviving family changed their name to Stephenson, the maiden name of Morris's mother, stating in court records that "...although they are all native-born Americans, their German name causes them to be misunderstood in their desire to assist their country..."
