A young girl named Astrid has had the family dog Eli as part of her life since birth. As she grows and ages, so does Eli. However his aging is quicker than hers. Astrid realizes that Eli is approaching the end of his life and deals accordingly by making a bucket list of all the things she and Eli can do together before he passes on. This story allows children to accept and comprehend death of loved ones, and is ideal for parents who feel the need to allow their children a literary space for acceptance and grief
