My Papi has a Motorcycle is a story that showcases a strong father daughter relationship as Daisy travels on the back of her father’s bike. Despite the small wording within the story, the illustrations do a wonderful job at creating an eventful motorcycle ride. Through Daisy’s adventure, the readers will encounter different aspects of Hispanic history in her community like immigrants working in a citrus grove. This Hispanic culture allows teachers a great opportunity to show children different voices that hardly appear in literature. Recommended Sarah Trigg, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University.
