In this charming book, Pluto takes the reader along on a journey through the solar system. However, he is in for a big surprise when he finds out that the scientists on earth decide that he’s not a planet anymore. Readers are invited into Pluto’s world to discover more about the solar system and to discover that they are more than what people say that they are. Laurie Keller’s playful illustrations add to the excitement with many different pieces of the universe to explore - as well as some sideline commentary from bits of space dust and asteroids. Pluto Gets the Call also has some solar system fun facts at the end of the book that teach more about the planets and encourage young readers to discover more about the solar system. Highly Recommended Ashley Riddle, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
