The Little Guys are small, woodland creatures that band together in order to get through life successfully: overcoming obstacles, crossing distances, getting food, etc. No other animal in the forest is able to accomplish what the Little Guys can do, which also means that no animal in the forest is able to stop the Little Guys from taking everything that they want. Brosgol’s picture book evaluates the importance of using one’s power for the benefit of others rather than for personal gain. The message of the book is clear and beneficial to the young reader. It is also an easy enough book for beginning readers to read through individually, providing a good reading option for parents with kids at this developmental stage. Recommended, Anna Jennings, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
