Check it Out is certainly a book worth checking out! Told from the perspective of young children, this adorable book describes the many roles of their energetic, friendly school librarian. From arranging books up on the shelves to planning story time and helping her students select just the right book, this lovely librarian does it all! With a sing-song rhyming text, this book does an excellent job of showcasing school librarians. Also endearing are Check it Out’s simple and colorful illustrations full of smiling children. Educators and librarians alike could easily use this delightful book as an introduction to libraries. Highly Recommended. Kirsten Setzkorn, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
