This book is fun for any beginning rock collector. It covers different types of rocks, where you can find them in the forest, river, or beach, and what you can do with them. In a similar manner, it compares friends to rocks. Some friends are fun, sparkly, and shiny right away. Others take time to get to know and sparkle on the inside. Teachers and parents might enjoy using this during lessons on geology and petrology or on the first day of school. Recommended Morgan Rupp, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University
