Mama and Little One are African elephants living in a drought. Mama needs to leave to ask the skies for rain, but Little One does not want her to go. Mama describes all the ways that she will love Little One from afar and how they will stay together from afar. It is a heart-warming tale that would be a perfect bedtime story for a parent and child to share together. The illustrations and diction are both beautiful. The relationship between the parent and child is developed in a way that is understandable for a child hearing the story. Recommended. Karynn Lorenzini, Centennial Library Intern, Cedarville University.
