No group picture exists of the first faculty of Cedarville College in 1894. This photo from 1901 is the earliest faculty group photo available in the University Archives. These eleven are not much more in number than the eight faculty members listed for the first classes in the fall of 1894, giving a sense of the college leadership in those early days. First row, L – R, David McKinney (President), Lucille Shilito (violin), Frank Jurkat (modern languages/history), Dora Anderson (math), James Morton (English Bible), Robb Harper (English/science). Second row, L – R. Mary Cost (elocution), W. J. Sanderson (apologetics), Wilbert McChesney (ancient languages), Cecil George (history), Belle Beazell (music).
