Description
This photo was taken in the late afternoon during the fall of 2019. Sam Alberry had just preached out of the book of Isaiah that week. More specifically, he had preached from Isaiah 40:8 where the prophet says "The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God will last forever." As I was walking past this beautiful scene, I realized that this statement so accurately defined our time at Cedarville in terms of Isaiah's message. We are here on campus "For the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ'', because that is the only thing that will last forever. Beyond us, beyond this campus and our possessions, even beyond this world. And this picture beautifully expressed that message to me. God's Words are the most beautiful thing we can imagine, and are the only thing that will last. And it is for that message that we exist.
