From June 29 through July 10, James and Martha McMillan traveled to Kansas City to visit their son, Fred. Their daughter, Clara, maintained the journal in Martha's absence (pages 152-159). At the end of the journal, Martha recorded her notes of their journey.

The images in the PDF and the interactive book (the Read Online button to the left) were resized to compile more manageable documents.
