About this Collection
The McMillan Journal Collection is an archive of the journals of Martha McMillan of Cedarville, Ohio, who maintained a daily journal from 1867 until her death in 1913.
Comments
The dated entries in the 1908 journal end with November 10. After almost 42 years with her “farm journal” starting in 1867, Martha McMillan and her husband James are leaving the farm in the care of son Clayton and moving to a furnished house in Yellow Springs, Ohio. On November 10 she ends this journal but begins a “new” journal which is combined with the year 1909. Thus, the entries and transcriptions of the remainder of the month of November and the month of December 1908 are part of the 1909 journal.
