Abstract
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 60% of adults in the United States have at least 1 chronic illness, and 40% have 2 or more co-morbidities. The End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) has developed an online course to assist nursing faculty and students in learning how to provide excellent palliative care to those with serious, chronic illness. Since the course went “live” in 2017, over 350 schools of nursing have provided this education to their undergraduate students, and over 30,000 students have completed all six modules. This presentation will showcase the course objectives, content, case studies, testimonials from palliative care leaders, and evaluation data.
