Having been recruited by James T. Jeremiah, Dick Walker began his tenure at Cedarville College in 1970 in intramural recreation and food services. From 1975 until 1984 Walker served as Dean of Men and in 1984 became the Director of Campus Activities, the position he held until 2006. Walker then served families and alumni through his roles as Dean of Community and Family Life Programs and as Coordinator for Alumni Engagement until his retirement in 2012. Walker Hall, a dormitory that opened in 2018, is named for him.
