Abstract
Described is a novel antibody to the Staphylococcal multidrug resistance (Smr) protein and a hybridoma cell line which produces that antibody. Also described are uses of the antibody, methods for its preparation, compositions comprising the antibody, test kits comprising the antibody, methods for screening for the Smr protein, and a screening method for identifying compounds that bind to the Smr protein.
