This fragment from Dead Sea scrolls, 4Q4, contains 11 lines of text from Genesis 1:18-27. It begins with the conclusion of the 4^th day of creation (separation of light from darkness) and ends with the creation of man on the 6^th day. Some 20 fragments of the book of Genesis were discovered among the Dead Sea scrolls. This fragment dates to the middle of the 1^st century AD and was written with black ink on a thin layer of reddish-brown parchment.
